The position
The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for identifying potential acquisition prospects and delivering qualified prospects to the M&A Team. His/her mandate will be to increase the pipeline of qualified M&A leads in Denmark and Sweden. The ideal candidate is analytical, has very strong communication skills, and possesses basic financial literacy.

Responsibilities:

  • Grow our prospect database by identifying small and medium sized software businesses meeting our acquisition criteria.
  • Qualify potential prospect according to our acquisition criteria.
  • Initiate outbound prospecting calls, email, and social media communication to identify and connect with target companies.
  • Use Marketing and CRM data to build relationships with CEOs / Presidents /Chairmen.
  • Follow up on outbound and inbound prospect activities in a timely manner.
  • Conduct sales development best practices to connect with and qualify prospects.
  • Track activities and maintain relevant information in Salesforce.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience working as Business Developer. Not mandatory.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in quota-carrying business development or enterprise sales roles.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with CEOs/Presidents and other key decision makers and stakeholders.
  • Able to effectively communicate key information to all audiences.
  • Experience of working in a structured environment.

 

Personality

  • Excellent communication skills Danish and English. Swedish or Norwegian.
  • Understanding of Software businesses
  • Solid financial knowledge
  • Willingness to undertake occasional international travel.
  • Ability to manage numerous assignments, identify priorities, and exercise good judgment.

 

For this candidate to be successful, they must be highly motivated and self-directed, committed to solving problems efficiently, and interested in being part of an organization that is growing quickly.


You will be based in Denmark and be working from home or from one of our 3 offices in Denmark. We are strengthening our position in Scandinavia and have several businesses there already. If you are living in Denmark or Sweden, you can work from one of these locations.
